Fuel efficiency in the 2019 Honda Insight
Are you looking for a fuel-efficient vehicle? If so, you’re not alone. Many drivers are looking for alternatives to the conventional sedans as they search for ways to save money on fuel or leave a smaller carbon footprint on the earth. Honda has a few different fuel-efficient vehicles to choose from, one of which is the 2019 Honda Insight. Check out the fuel efficiency in this car below!
The 2019 Insight, being a hybrid vehicle, has engine specs that may be hard to understand for some people, but we’ll do our best to explain them. There is a conventional engine in the Insight – a 1.5L 4-cylinder – that gets 107 horsepower and 99 lb-ft of torque. Obviously those numbers aren’t great on their own, but that’s where the electric motor comes into play. It delivers 129 horsepower and 197 lb-ft of torque. In the LX and EX trim levels, the Electronic Continuously Variable Transmission allows for up to 55 city/49 hwy mpg*, while the Touring trim gets 51 city/45 hwy mpg*. With those efficiency numbers coupled with the 10.6-gallon fuel tank, the 2019 Honda Insight has a driving range of up to 551 miles on a single tank of fuel.
